So guess who spent the night in L&D last night...
...because  decided to go on a moving strike AGAIN for 48 hours.
Yep...that would be me.
I had my weekly appointment at the hospital yesterday anyways, and when they asked about fetal movement I commented that it had been minimal the day before and nothing so far that day (by then it was 4PM). So they immediately said ok we're going to monitor you and see. So they monitored for 40 minutes and STILL no movement. Then they scanned. STILL no movement from baby. My OB checked for any dilation and I'm about as closed as Chick-Fil-A is on Sunday (can you tell I want me some waffle fries?).
SO they admitted me 'just to be on the safe side'. They said if the baby's movement didn't pick up they'd prob need to deliver me early, which I did NOT want - I am nowhere near ready, but of course baby's safety is the top priorty! I was nervous for a while there, to be honest.
Well last night for my 2nd monitoring the baby finally cooperated and kicked, though not as much as normal. They did a growth scan this morning and the baby looks big, they said. They guestimated that the baby is 7lbs 14oz right now. I'm 38 weeks tomorrow!  Lets hope they've grossly over-estimated the weight!
They also said that it has extremely long legs - in the 95%! They all found this highly amusing until I said that dh is 6'7". Then I got sympathy glances.  It was great to see our again though - I didn't expect that at all!
The good news is I'm home now and the baby is safe and healthy. They were very happy with its heartrate, size, and 'practice' breathing.
What an ordeal!

So glad that everything is okay with you and baby! So funny about baby's lags, they told me the same exact thing....and that he had a large head...yahoo...soemthing to look forward to! Keep us posted, and feel good..not too much longer, now!

and OMG is this my future- my DH is 6'8'' and I'm 6'. I was wondering if the baby would be very long, although neither of us were abormally long at birht. But I would totally expect long legs. Maybe the baby stopped moving because it's getting tight in there!
