So Hannah has been officially diagnosed "colicky."
we went to the ped today to see if she was okay b/c she has not been eating alot. but she fooled us all and gained 3 oz since monday! however, since she seems to be in discomfort at the same time every night, doc says its colic. i am so jealous of all of you who say their dd or ds are sleeping thru the night LOL! please tell me this will get better!

It will get better. Sydney was diagnosed as reflux and the doc said that we could say she is sort of colixy. Now she is the happiest baby.

It WILL get better, I promise. I've been there, it's SO hard, I know. Hang in there...

Its hard in the beginning, but it does get easier I promise. It took us almost 3 months to get Jake on the right formula to help with his allergy to milk, so I know exactly what you are going through

Aww, Joanna, I'm so sorry. But please look on the bright side...she gained THREE OUNCES! That's FABULOUS! The fact that she's doing so well is wonderful! (Although, I do know a good night's sleep is great, too!)

If it makes you feel any better - mine isn't sleeping through the night yet either. Hope the colic passes soon.

Re: So Hannah has been officially diagnosed "colicky."
Yes it does get better! My first DD had colic and I think around three/four months it got alot better. She started sleeping thru the night sooner than that though I totally know what you are going thru.DD loved when you put her tummy side down on the inside of your forearm, head in palm legs on either side of elbows and being rocked side to side etc. When it was a really rough day I filled a warm bath (no too full)and she and I layed in it with her sleeping on my chest.also burping her by laying her tummy down across my legs worked better then over the shoulder. She didn't have reflux probs. Also warm wash cloths on her tummy too..please feel free to Fm me anytime!
