So Hannah has been sleeping thru the night...
but in her bouncer chair. i decided this weekend that she should move into the crib, b/c she is really not moving around alot and i felt that being strapped into the bouncer was hindering her motoric development. since moving to the crib on friday we noticed that she is moving alot more, kicking her legs, rolling to her side and batting at toys.
anyhoo, we put her into the crib and now she is waking up every 3-4 hrs. i am hoping that this is just b/c its a new environment and that she will get used to it and return to sleeping thru the night. ugh! just when i thought we had conquered our sleep issues!
has anyone else gone thru this? did your child go back to sleeping thru the night?
etd to add that i hope i am doing the right thing by putting her in the crib.

Honestly, I definitely think it's the right thing to put her in the crib now. You wouldn't want her to start moving around in the bouncy seat because then she could get hurt. She's probably just not used to all the freedom and wants to move around. Do you have one of those halo sleep sacks? Maybe that will help her feel a little more confined, but she'll still be able to move around. I've noticed that Ava seems to be sleeping restlessly lately, and I think it's because she gets cold at night, so I bought a sleep sack, we shall see how it works. Good luck my dear!

Roman slept 11 hours a night from birth until 6 months in his car seat. We would put the seat right into his crib. He slept through the night without the seat from 6-7 months, and starting at 8 months hasn't slept through the night. You just do want you have to to get some sleep (he comes into bed with us)

I think she is just getting use to the new enviroment. Luka did wake only for a few nights when we went from the bassinet to the crib. He would go in complete circles and use the whole crib. Now he still moves around but its usually in one spot. I wouldnt go putting her back in the bouncy at night.

You're definitely doing the right thing by not letting her sleep in the bouncy seat. In the next few months, she'll have the ability to flip it over (unless it's the heavy Chicco bouncy seat).

guess what!! she made it thru the night last night!! whoo-hoo!!
she fell asleep at 6:30pm and then started getting fussy at 1030pm so i did a dream feed and she gulped down 5 oz! she didnt wake up again until 6am!
yeah hannah!

maybe she like being elevated....have you tried a crib wedge that would let her be inclined a little more?

Sounds very similar to DD. Isn't such a relief to finally get them to sleep in their crib!
