EMBRACING CHANGE

SO HAPPPY TO ANNOUNCE...
i've gained 26 lbs since i got married 
recently, i got a GOOD look at myself in the mirror. i didn't like what i saw!
this is my liife: sit ALL day at work. my co-workers LOVE to feed anyone and everyone, and i love to eat, so i sit and eat all day at work. i'm also going to school at night, more sitting. my most favorite thing to do in the world is knit, more sitting. i go to craft night once a week....AT A BAKERY!!!
so you can see, not a good situation.
so, i decided to walk the dog more energetically and a few minutes longer, i stopped eating EVERYTHING at work, i started to drink water, etc.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE
i am happy to say that i have offically lost...
EIGHT POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow that's great! it's amazing how the little things can add up to such a difference!
i gained almost 10 lbs this summer due to my job and lack of will power. I was a summer associate at a big law firm, and they basically wine and dine you all summer. I was going out to lunch EVERY day, with events at night too --- lots of food, lots of drinks, and I didn't have to pay for it so of course I indulged constantly, since I don't normally live like that.
Yeeep... we all gained weight that summer. 2 weeks after the summer ended I lost 5 lbs, just from eating normal food and not going out to eat for 8+ meals a WEEK ordering appetizers and desserts. 
I have one more summer as a SA... and then I get married the week after! Gotta make sure it doesn't happen again in 08
