So, I asked my husband last night...
is there really a baby in here?
I know - I'm crazy. I'm 19 weeks and haven't gained much weight, am still wearing regular clothes, haven't felt much but a little fluttering. And I haven't had any "typical" pregnancy symptoms.
I do have a doppler for the baby's heart beat which I check every night and we have our anatomy scan next Wednesday but this all seems unreal still.
KWIM? When will it actually hit me?

Re: So, I asked my husband last night...
I'm 21 weeks, have gained about 2 lbs and almost all of my clothes still fit - I randomly feel some 'vibrating' here and there, but nothing regularly .........
When we went last week and found out the sex, it was a BIT more real for me - but I still don't feel PG ...........
I seriously don't think I'm going to connect w/ this kid until he's actually born !!

You're not - and it doesn't make you a bad person - I joke around that I'm a heartless b*tch b/c I KNOW that's what people are totally thinking of me - ESPECIALLY b/c my DH is the total opposite and SO excited about everything (especially b/c it's a boy)
I KNOW I'm PG, I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do, and not doing what I'm not supposed to do and starting to get everything ready .......but I am not an excitable person by nature - So, am I bouncing off the walls about the IDEA of this baby? ........No, to me, he's not real yet. - And I KNOW he's in there, but I can't see him or feel him or hold him so it's just not 'real' to me -

Re: So, I asked my husband last night...
I am 32 weeks and will have a baby in a matter of weeks at this point-- and I still don't really *get* that I am pregnant.
DH jokes that I will say when the kid graduates HS, "I had a baby?!"
I know the baby is coming, but still can't really believe it-- which has been causing me to freak out a bit.

Patricia - I'm 30 weeks and STILL ask my husband that all the time! Although, I will say the reality of it is starting to sink in finally!

I am right there with you. I am 19 weeks and only gained about 3 pounds. I am still in regular clothes and my only pregnancy symptom has been fatigue. I feel occasional movement (flutters, tickles). This pregnancy is still very surreal for me.

I'm almost 37 weeks and may have the baby this week. It still hasn't fully sunk in that I'm about to be a parent. It definitely felt more real though once I could feel the baby move.

This is exactly how I feel! Although I am so excited, sometimes I feel removed from it in a way. It's like I can't believe I am actually pregnant, and I will be 30 weeks on Thursday. It's making me feel freaked out too!

Re: So, I asked my husband last night...
If this means anything to you...it never hit me. I just had DD last week, a mth early and I almost STILL can't believe she was in me. I also didn't gain alot, only 17 lbs and it's hard to believe she was inside of me. She was pretty large considering a mth early, 7.4 lbs, yet it just feels so surreal! I keep saying when am I going to feel like it's real?
