Slim to none-they never do what we want them to do...Which will continue through their whole lives. Oh crap, we're screwed!

Wow awesome that you know.. I hope he stays there for you
I only know at our last sono last week that both babies were head down.. I guess if I was having them naturally it would matter more to me but I would just like them to get out of my ribs right now

Definitely a possibility. turned at 26 weeks and never flipped again. Poor kid must have the worst rush in his head now
Anyway, the doc explained that typically once they go head down they do stay. Since their head is the heaviest part of their body it acts as a weight holding them down in combination with gravity.

Wow you are so in tune. The last few weeks I have still felt somersalt motions so I do not think she has assumed position yet.
I must say though. I haven't had any va-jay-jay, bladder, or rib kicking. XXXXfingers crossedXXXX

Re: so i can totally tell that the baby is head down now...
they turn all the time and sometimes even last minute they can turn so there is no way of telling for sure if your baby will stay down. My DD has been head down since 28 weeks and hasnt turned.. good thing! But, still, ya just never know what these little acrobats can do!

So glad you can tell. I have no idea what part of her body I am feeling at any given time. Though I think that she may be the second coming of Olga Korbut Yeah I know I dated myself by putting an Olympic gymnast from 1972 in this post, but my kid has Russian roots and is doing tumbles in me like you wouldn't believe.

Re: so i can totally tell that the baby is head down now...
My baby was head down from 25 weeks or so. When I went for a sono at 34 weeks, he was head up! But by 37 weeks, he had turned back down. So don't count on the baby staying it any particular position.

man, I can never tell. I always feel the kicks low but one week the baby is breech, the next doc visit the head is down, but the kicks are always in the same spot
