so i decided to do a party at the park now i need help with the food
more adults than kids but i figured it should be easier to entertain the kids... the question i have is about food... can i get away with a 6 foot hero and maybe two pizzas cut into 16ths (for the kids), drinks and cupcakes? i have a total of about 25/30 adults and 10 kids.. do you think i need anything else? oh - the kids range from 2-5

I don't think that many adults could be fed on a 6 foot hero. What about a tray of baked ziti? Chicken parm tray too!
I like the pizza idea for the kids!

I agree, 1 hero will probably not cut it for that many adults. Pizza for the kids is great!

A hero & pizza are fine & sounds like more than enough.
You'll need something to keep condiments (well, mayo) cool.
I would do some kind of veggie tray beforehand with chips. Fruit tray for dessert.
If you're doing a summer menu, I would probably vary it with a cabbage salad my mom makes (that I could give you the recipe) & some ice pops or something.
There are rocket balloons that are pretty cool for a park.

how many hero's do you think that ineed? i can do increments of 3 feet. I don't think that i want to do any food that needs to be eaten with forks (except for kids) anyone know how many pieces are in a six foot hero?

For my DD's christening we had about 35-40 adults and we went through an entire 6 ft. hero plus salads, and trays and trays of hot food. One hero is not enough for 30 people. They are going to be so hungry if that's all there is. I would get some hot trays in addition to the hero OR hire a catering company to come and BBQ for you in the park. IMO, 1 hero is totally not enough food.
