So, I got an email thanking me for joining twitter... but i didn't join!
Could it be a scam? I don't want to twitter! Has this happened to anyone else?

Let me guess.... it says something like 'you're friend in (town nextdoor) is saying something, click here to find out what it is'
It's junk, just delete it.
