SO, I got my new camera (pics)
I chose the Nikon D40x. I LOVE it already! I'm still trying to get used to some settings on it, but here are some pics of the little man from a party we threw at my house for my in-laws today.....

They are great! You will not put your new camera down now. I was never a camera person (always forgetting it when we went to family functions, weddings etc..) Now I can't put it down or walk out of the house without it.
