So I had my first sono today and I have two cysts on my right ovary!
The technician told me not to tell my Dr. I knew b/c she is not allowed to tell the patients, but she showed them to me and everything. Now I'm worried.
The little gummy bear, however, is so cute! I am exactly six weeks today, so we couldn't hear the heartbeat, but she showed us the sound waves on the machine. It was so cool!
But back to the cysts--anyone have any info on that? experience? should I be worried?

I had it with both pg's, I think it is called a leautal cyst. You develope the cyst on the ovary that released the egg. It will decrease in size.

Spoke to my MIL today about my cyst (im not PG though) and she was telling me that when she was PG w/ Dhs brother, she had gotten a cyst too. Shes also a nurse and told me that its VERY common. She had to have it removed when she was PG bc it grew but i believe if yours is small it sometimes just goes away on its own.
All is all, i dont believe theres much to worry about. When do you expect a call from dr?

I have a dermoid cyst that has been there since I was pregnant with my DD. I had her with no complications and TG this pregnancy is progressing healthy as well. No worries

I had one when I went for my first sono when I was pregnant with my DD.
It disappeared after a couple of weeks

I have a corpus luteum cyst. I have had it since I conceived. It is being monitored and is supposed to dissipate as thepregnancy goes on and as the placenta takes over more and more. From time to time I feel it, but less and less as time goes on. Initially, we were restricted from intercourse and I from exercise to make sure it didnt rupture. It is not a danger to the baby - more to me. They are fairly common.

i also had this in the beginning and it has since disappeared. it's common and i wouldn't worry about it

My doc saw a cyst too and told me he would watch to make sure it doesnt grow in size. He said it was pretty common. Congrats on your sono! sn't it amazing to see the 1st time? I was in awe like..

I had a cyst on my right ovary at my 6 week sono appt and the doc indicated that that is what side I ovulated from and said it was normal to have that....
