So I have $175 of merchandise credit at J Crew and don't know what to buy...
I recently returned some things that were a) disappointing or b) still had tags on them and just didn't fit.
I now have $175 in merch credit for J. Crew and can't decide to what to get.
Cashmere sweater? Velvet blazer? Black ankle boots?
I would really like to treat myself to something nice but everything is so expensive there these days I feel like $175 will barely get me anything...

they have tons of colors - they add color to a boring outfit when you are having a "i need to wear black today" day

I'd get a turtleneck or cardigan and a couple long sleeve tees.
Or the puffer jacket and a couple tees.

I agree with the PP... a winter coat! J. Crew's coats are gorgeous and timeless! I still wear my coats from years ago.
I don't think that the quality of J. Crew cashmere is that great. Skip the sweater.

Thanks ladies! I have a few of their cashmere sweaters and the earlier ones are better than the more recent ones. I just saw a style I like but maybe I won't take the chance.
Hmm, a coat might be nice or maybe boots...
Maybe I need to go to the store and browse and try on...
I will report back.

Same here.
Wow! I didn't realise the quality was like that. I don't have anything cashmere from them, but they always look so nice and I figured J.Crew has quality products.
I would go with a coat then. I have one from years ago and I still wear it.

lucky! there are so many things I want in there but refuse the spend the $$!
i would probably get one expensive awesome item that i wouldn't buy otherwise - like a coat or boots

I love their coats, and IMO they wear really well. My 4 staple winter coats are all JCrew, and some are as old as 4 years and still look brand new.
