So I just got back from Target...
and it was a MOB SCENE!!!!
Someone posted earlier about Targer having 90% off on Christmas stuff, so I took a ride to the one just outside the Broadway Mall. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. People were literally pushing other people out of the way.
And then some employees came back with boxes of FRESH STUFF. You had to see the people freaking out. They weren't letting the employees open the boxes, they were opening them. They were fighting over what was in them. I've never seen anything like it!

Believe it or not, over Christmas stuff. I was standing far back watching them unload what was in the boxes. The sale was insane. Boxes of lights for 79 cents, that sort of thing.

I went when it was 75% off and I got good stuff for great prices and happy with that.
Even then people were pushy and hogging it all!

I went to Setauket this morning and it was fine...Very empty. Stuff was very picked over, but it wasn't crowded at all.

I went to the one in Hicksville around 230, everything was picked over. They have tons of christmas cards and bows. They had some good deals on boxes of 4 rolls of wrapping paper, bows, gift bags and tags for $1.29
Other than that, it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack....other than the box of paper above, I was able to find 2 packs of tags for 29 cents each and a paper cutter for 49 cents.

i went today to the target in westbury and i got bags of really pretty gift bows (45 per bag) for $.29 each and a huge bag of glittery decorative pine cones for $.59! 
eta: it wasnt packed at all. nothing crazy like what you said about hicksville.

I just got back from Target in Westbury and spent $4.00. They had these cute board books of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" for 10 cents. Some bows and mugs.... nothing really earth shattering. A woman stole a mug from my cart and I told her it was mine and she walked away like she didn't hear me. Oh well. The employees told me there was nothing else in the back that was going to be coming out.
Anyone try the Copiague or Levittown ones?

i went to the one in riverhead around 3:00 and there wasn't much good stuff left. 
I bought us some pretty blue velvet stockings with our initials on them-- -and some blank blue velvet ones for if we ever have kids...

Just read this on another board and thought I'd pass along to those who haven't gone to Target yet and didn't know this... they put most of their stuff back on the shelves. The Xmas section is just bows, decorations, etc. but the food that said holidays on it and the deodorant and soap and candles, etc. is back in the aisles, sort of hidden, but still 90% off... makes me angry, lol... someone got a big thing of softsoap for .50

and the best thing was a Fiber Optic Christmas Train Set 4.99

The targets out here in RI all wet to 90 today!
I got a ton of chockie chocolates for 50 cents, originally 5.00!
I also got lots of bags, bows, ribbon, christmas cards, ornaments, etc...
What a bargain!

I just went to the Levittown store. Got a cart full of stuff (mostly crap ) and saw an employee coming out with a flat full of back stock, Oh. My. God!! It was like they were giving away Hannah Montana tix the way the poor girl was mobbed.
I took my 2 boys and ran the other way.  There's no way a cookie jar for 1.99 is worth my kid getting trampled.
Maybe I'll go back tonight by myself.
