So, I met with the new RE today...(sorry, a bit long)
and I have to say I love her. She explained everything so well and answered all of our questions. But, now here is my problem. The clomid is only 15% chance of working, the injectables 20% chance and the IVF 75%. So, now I have to decide what do I want to do.
I love my dh, but he is absolutely no help. He will support me in whatever decision I make. Part of me wants to keep trying naturally since nothing is wrong with either one of us, part of me wants to do injectables but I have to admit part of me is saying absolutely no to IVF even though my insurance will pay up to 50,000.00. She did say that if the clomid was going to work, it would have worked in one of the last 4 cycles I had taken it.
So, now I have a lot of thinking to do, She also said that me working 2 jobs is not a great idea, so I am stuck with my second job until Oct, then I am taking some time off.
Wish me luck in making my decision, I never thiought I would be this confused.
Good Luck to all of you....

I don't know what to say, I had just started the whole fertility drug process when I got pregnant naturally. Sounds like you need a hug though... Hang in there....

I wish you lots of luck. It isn't an easy decision.
I'm a big fan of the old-fashioned pro/con list to help figure things out.

Good Luck. Maybe if you take some time off to make your decision you'll have one of the time-off happy little accidents!

I think you should def take some time in your decision and think about it.
Believe me I know IVF and injectables does sound very intimidating but once you start it's not so bad.
I go with the odds and personally would do what had the best outcome for me.
Good luck to you and your DH

Re: So, I met with the new RE today...(sorry, a bit long)
I want to say good luck with your decision!!! I also want to add and share with you my situation. At my previous job, I had excellent infertility insurance but later got layed off. At the time, we were ttcing but didnt know we were going to have infertility issues. Fast forward, we are now under my DH insurance which does not cover IVF/IUI's.
My point is that you never know when life throws you a curve ball. Never did I imagine getting layed off and never did I imagine having IF issues. YOur advantage is that you Know your having some issues ttc. I would hate for you to waste more valuable time like I have. Unless of course, you refuse IVF for moral issues. I respect that.
Sorry if I sound too preachy. I am just trying to give you a different perspective.
Again, Good Luck with your decision!

Re: So, I met with the new RE today...(sorry, a bit long)
How many mg of clomid were you taking? My gyn only had me on 50mg for 6 months and when I went to the RE he said that was definetly not enough. Then I went to 100mg for 2 months and then finally 150mg and that worked.

He has to have some feedback! My DH is the same way "whatever will make you comfortable and happy" --- well, buddy I wouldn't be asking if I didn't need some input!
It will come to you - you two will know what you want in your heart.....

I agree...I was very hesitant about doing IVF, but it really is not so bad, and was getting very impatient with just doing continuous IUI's. Think about it
