So I spent 10 months shopping for a double stroller and guess what
DH hates the one we have and actually told me go out and buy a new one (a tandum) . Yes, Michele if you are reading this, you are reading this correctly. I like the Mountain Buggy Urban double and aside that it is ackward to open/close and get into the car (we have a truck) I really like it and both kids seem comfy in it. DS is already 26lbs and alot of the lighter strollers seem to narrow for DS or he fits in it now but wont down the road or with his winter jacket. DS wanted the Baby Jogger double stroller and I was really considering that one but it didn't have the carseat adapter which turned out to be waste after I purchased it because DD hates the carrier anyway and I take her in and out of it. So now he wants me to get a tandum Graco beceause he thinks it will be easier in the stores and will take up less room in the truck. He actually told me to sell it. So now it looks like I am on the hunt again because he complains everytime he takes it out of the car even though it is rare we use it together.

I have a tandum, but am looking for a side by side as well. I think it may be useful to have both. Don't sell it until you see if you like the tandum

Ugh! Don't get the Graco, it's so heavy when you have a toddler in it. I hated it.
Have you thought of a Sit N Stand? Sarah is 2.5 and still prefers to sit on the jumpseat, but when she stands there is a strap so I can make sure she doesn't get off when I don't want her to. It fits in my trunk and is so much lighter and easier to maneuver IMO.
If you guys live near me you are more than welcome to stop by one weekend and try it out around the block if you want.

DS is too young for the sit-n-stand( 16 months now) and plus I don't think he would sit still and want out. I also told DH that the tandum will be hard to manouver but he doesn't want to listen. He is just not happy about using a double stroller in general I think.

We have the Graco duo glider and while it's bulky, it's pretty easy manuevering it around. I'm not a jogger so I didn't even consider a jogging stroller. I also personally don't care for side by side strollers, I think they are more of a PITA when trying to get into some doorways. I do want to Sit and Stand eventually when the baby is sitting up on his own.

Oh no adrianna!!! But do you like the stroller? If you do, I would tell DH to go scratch since you are prob the one who is with it the most.
I so feel your pain though , this past weekend was the first time my baby jogger was in my truck and headed to the mall with DH, oh boy was DH getting in and out of the truck. It takes up my whole trunk, barely fits and DH says there's no way i would be able to get in and out without scratching the bumper. Whatever. But he still likes it cause I like it. :) I am having a bit of buyers remorse too though I put gianna in those tandems and she was tight in them and no stretching room, and she's only 20lbs. Plus you know as well i do, once you go from pushing the Urban/baby jogger to pushing those truck of stroller tandems, it's a whole different world.
Please dont' sell it!! I just know you won't be happy with a tandem or regular side by side.
Think of it as an investment, you spent $$ on the urban, you won't have to buy another stroller ever, you wind up selling this one, getting a tandem or other side by side, DS grows out it or it's start saggin in the middle or you HATE it, you will wind up buying something else too.
that stroller search is too exhausting to do again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't plan on selling it but DH wants to. Your right those tandums get heavy once you children an I think he forgets that. He thinks that I just keep the stroller in the trunk and never take it out and still use my single He doesn't believe that I lift it in and out each time I want to use it.

Hey and if remember correctly, HE was the one who told you to GET WHATEVER stroller you wanted! am i correct on that one?
If so, sorry charlie, his opinion doesn't count since he opted out of the search
It's def different pushing a double than a single, the stroller becomes you entire front DH admitted it's weird pushing both of them, i def think he just has to get used to pushing a double and i would bring him to BRU and plop DD and DS in the tandem and make him push it, fold it and open it.

You would correct Michele!! I think I am going to go to BRU and try it out just to see. That way I can compare and tell him how much I dont like it.
