So I think Im taking myself off the TTC list

I never even officialled started to try, and Im already taking myself of the list...

Im so unsure of what I want to do...

Im so happy with it being me, DH and DS right now- DS is at an age where he is more independent and I really enjoy it!

The thought of getting preggo before I lose the 20lbs from DS makes me cringe- I really wanna lose the weight first.

And- being that SIL just found out she is preggo- Id hate to announce w/in the next couple of months that we are preggo too. I dont wanna steal her thunder (so to speak). I know it sounds stupid and she may not even feel this way, but being that Im having my doubts I think I might just skip out..

I just called my OBGYN to call me in some birth control.

Im young so I do have time on my side, but I def. have the itch and feel bad that DS is going to be so far apart in age from DC #2

Who knows-I could be back in a month.. but for now it's off to CVS to pick up some pills

You have to do what's right for you.

On the stealing thunder note - there is also a plus side and that is that your DS #2 and his cousin would be close in age and would grow up together.

In my case, I know my SIL is TTC and I hope she and I get PG within a few months of each other so our kids can be close in age. However, I do also worry about "stealing her thunder".

As it is, we got some bad news last night regarding our childcare situation (what would have been our childcare situation when a baby came along) so if I'm not PG this month, I might be taking myself off the list temporarily also.

How does your DH feel about it?

You seem a bit down by your decision Don't be upset, I am sure your heart will tell you when the time is right!

About stealing thunder, I honestly don't believe in such things. A lot of my friends are married, have children and are on their way to having more. We aren't concerned with anyone else because we know when it's the right time for US. I think it's nice to share that special time with family and friends - at least you know that will be one person not sick of hearing baby talk

Dh and I are on the same page- meaning we both are so undecided...

To be honest its probably best if we wait (for financial reasons mostly) but we both really want another and are feeling a bit pressure with the fact DS is turning 3 in a few months...

Im not sure about the stealing thunder thing- she may not feel this way at all- and our children being close in age would be wonderful. But I know it took her awhile to get to this point and I dont want to take any attention away from her (or for her to feel like I am)

I have alot of similar feelings to you. im back and forth daily with this Deciding to have # 2 is harder than the first time.
