So I told my mom today
She was happy I told her. I asked her if she knew about any PCOS in our family and she had never heard of it. She did tell me it took 8-10 months to conceive me, but she always had regular periods. Anyway, she may not have given me a reason for why I have PCOS but was very supportive.

Re: So I told my mom today
Glad to hear that you told your mom. It helps me b/c if I am feeling down, I dont have to make up any excuses to my mother. That's what mothers are for...A shoulder to cry on.
BTW, I have PCOS and I have asked my mother the same questions. She didnt have a clue with what I was talking about and never had problems conceiving. But, I do think she did (does) have PCOS b/c we have very similar symptoms. But, then again, my Paternal Grandma and P. Aunts have similar symptoms too. Who knows.

Re: So I told my mom today
I am so glad you were able to tell your mom. PCOS is a medical condition and nothing to be ashamed of. You didn't commit a crime! Most women over 50's have never heard of PCOS. It didn't exist in their childbithing days. if you couldn't get pregnant, there was little to help you. I am so happy she was supportive.
