Did I ever tell you that I hate people?

So I was at a Yankees game last night with my dad...

andwe are Tiger fans... Chat Icon

The people behind us were also Tiger fans, so the woman started talking to me...

First question she asked...do you have kids??

I said I didn't and she just started yammering on how they had 2, and the second was a surprise, but "that won't happen again as we surgically took care of that!"

Ugh. You know what part of the problem is?
There is just not enough out there about infertility (or being reproductively challenged Chat Icon ) For the most part, people really have no idea that exists, or they know but just don't think that it happens to people around them. The fact probably is that everyone knows at least someone who is struggling with infertiity.

I'm sorry. I went out to dinner last night and someone who is a regular customer of mine and brings lots of business in for me told me:

"I don't debate over God or anything, but I feel that if you can't get pregnant on your own, then you're not meant to be a mom"... or something to that effect. Chat Icon Needless to say I had a few (nice) choice words for him!
He then went on to tell me how 'being a parent is overrated' and then said I should go talk to his daughter (whose child is mentally handicapped- and is the sweetest boy! He just turned 21 this year.)

WTH is wrong w/ people?!?!?!? Chat Icon Didn't their parents ever teach them if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all!?!!!???????

I hate people also... They really suck and they do not know when to keep their mouths shut!! I can't tell you how many times people come up to me and rub my stomach just because I have a ring on my finger and tell me "you next!" Who are they and do they know anything about me or my life??!! All they know is that I work in the same place as they do!!

And I love when they tell you about how having kids is not all is cracked up to be... They should only know that that is what WE hope, wish and pray for each night!!
