So I went for a bridesmaid dress fitting....
And they sized me 10 sizes bigger than my jean size  I know they always run bigger, but this is a bit much!!
I wanted to go for immediate liposuction

They did that with my sister. Personally I feel like they do it so you can somehow pay more for alterations. They sized my sisters moh dress at a size 12 when my sisters a size 4.

Don't take it personally, those sizes never run true.
I don't know what your proportions are but sometimes if you're more top heavy your size will be larger than your pants size. I know for me I am bottom heavy so I tend to have smaller dress sizes than pants.

I went this weekend too and I am right there with you it is so depressing but I joined WW so hopefully by the time the next fitting comes around I will have a lot to get taken in

I would ask to be remeasured by someone else just to be sure.
For my sister's wedding, I measured 4 sizes (8 numbers) higher then my regular clothes and the dress was just tremendous on me. It was so bad they weren't able to alter it enough to get it to fit correctly.

That always happens! The sizes tend to run small, or they measure you with tons of room for alterations.

everytime I have gone for a dress- they tell me I need a 8
everytime when the 8 comes in - it's huge
I took the last one to my own seamstress and she yelled at me to not listen to them- and to order the size I want

OMG I hope that doesnt happen to me!! Mine came out to 10 numbers (5 sizes) bigger, and the dress is nearly $300!! I will kill someone at "here comes the bridesmaid" if they can't alter it!

Their sizes are seriously messed up. Don't focus on those numbers that much. I really think they have their own ridiculous sizing system.
