So, I Would Like to Join this Group
Today I had the meeting with the psychologist coordinating DSs evaluations for CPSE. The news isn't great, but it's not unexpected. He believes he shows all the signs of having PDD-NOS.
We still have the meeting with the school district, so I don't know much about next steps.
That's all I can or want to say right now. I just wish, wish, wish more than I can ever say that my darling boy didn't have to deal with this.

I think I speak for more than just myself when I say, we know exactly how you feel. You are more than welcome to come here and vent, share, ask, brag etc etc etc.
You are def not alone in this process

It's a tough pill to swallow, that's for sure. This forum has been very helpful to me over the past few months (my DS is also PDD-NOS) and I hope it is for you as well.

When we got the diagnosis, I said "I just became a member of a group I wasn't necessarily looking to join." But the group has been very good to me, both to me and my family.
We really have to meet somtime IRL, you and I.

Feels wierd to 'welcome' you here as I am new to this board myself. But, Welcome. Diagnosis and the weeks that follow are some of the toughest of your life but it does get easier. There are so many helpful ladies on this board who have been there and know so much about who to talk to and where to get information.

Thank you for your kind words and warm welcomes! Yes, I agree about joining the group--you don't really want to be a member, but at the same time, it's wonderful that this is available. I do feel I've already benefited from the posts I've read in the last couple weeks.
Now we need to spend some time researching treatment options so we know what we want when we have the CPSE meeting. If anyone has good websites or books to recommend, I would appreciate it.
