Re: So in the bathroom of Tanger outlets...
I would think it would be for diabetics and other people that need to give themselves shots....

My Grandmother has one just for that reason. That would make sense.

This reads like you are confused as to why there AREN'T needle disposals.
But I think you are asking why there are, right?

Definitely would make sense... esp since there are something like 16 million diabetics in the US alone.

Re: So in the bathroom of Tanger outlets...
Yes..for diabetics. My aunt needs to inject herself morning and night so if she was shopping and had her insulin in cooler she could do it at the mall.
I also had gestational diabetes and had to test my blood several times a day. I had to test at work and would put the used testing needles in a glass jar. A sharps container in the bathroom would have been helpful .

Re: So in the bathroom of Tanger outlets...
I dont remember ever seeing a public bathroom anywhere with a needle/syringe disposal. But I never actively looked for one. I will now.

they have them here, for both uses. Sydney has a little bit of a heroin problem in some areas, so in certain areas (train station bathrooms and park bathrooms) they are there for both uses.
at first i was appalled, but it makes sense- there are drug users, so this makes it a bit safer for the population that DO NOT do drugs. I wouldnt want to prick my finger on a needle if it wasnt suppossed to be there. They also have a clean needle program. this country does its best to stop drug use, but the reality of it is you cant stop every drug user, so make it safe for spread of disease.
in no way are they promoting it, in fact they do try to stop drug use in these areas by having ultra violet lights in these high usage areas. ultra violet allows you NOT to see your vein.

Re: So in the bathroom of Tanger outlets...
I have never seen syringe disposals in a public bathroom but I definitely think they should be made available for diabetics.
