Usually when DS rolls to his tummy in his crib, he wakes himself up and cries. He doesn't seem to realize he can roll back over onto his back (he CAN, he just doesn't). When I woke him up this morning to get ready for work/day care, he was sleeping peacefully on his tummy with his hands up and under his forehead with his little nose just barely peeking out the side. I don't know how long he was sleeping like that because he was indeed SLEEPING, so I was sleeping too!! Is this OK, or if I had checked on him and he was this way, should I have disturbed him and moved him to his back? He's almost 6 months. Would he move or wake up if he wasn't getting enough air?
Thanks so much!!

I don't remember what the official SIDS guidelines are on this...but once our DD started rolling over and sleeping on her belly, we let her....we always put her in the crib on her back but she would roll into all sorts of positions,, none of which were on her back....there was no way we could keep waking her up to sleep on her back...she wouldn't do it. And she was younger than your DS, probably 4 months at that time.
