So is it true what they say...
For those with 3 + kids:
1 to 2 is hard and 2 to 3 is much easier.
I'm really starting to freak out about this and I'm still early. I need help. I don't want to be obsessing about this for the next 32 weeks.

Re: So is it true what they say...
1 to 2 was pretty doable for me. I have two very easy going and good sleeping kids. I dread a 3rd, if, and I mean, IF we have another one.....

I've never heard that. My mom didn't feel the same way, but the second pregnancy was twins!

Re: So is it true what they say...
1 to 2 was manageable for me. 2 to 3 is hard. Truthfully, I suppose it depends on the ages and temperments of the children. My oldest is 4 yrs old this month and he is very hyper. So that coupled with a 2 year old being a 2 year old (and taking her cues from the 4 yr old) and the baby (who is an angel thank God) makes it feel very overwhelming to me at times. It also depends on the day you ask me...today, not feeling so in control, other days I feel like Im getting a handle on it.
ETA: I was out somewhere this summer and saw a couple with 5 young kids! I actually asked them for advice and the wife said that once she accepted that her life would be "organized chaos", she managed much better and that acceptance came when she had her 3rd. She said that going from 2 to 3 was hard but 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 was much easier. Go figure!

Re: So is it true what they say...
A good friend explained it in terms of defense (male, obviously):
With two kids, you go man-to-man.
With three, you have to go zone.
I was told 3 puts moms over the edge. My friend with 4 said, 2 to 3 was tough, 3 to 4 was a breeze.

Very well said. Thats exactly how we feel here alot. Its our own fault but we are outnumbered.

can I copy and paste this and totally plagiarize ???
To answer the question in MY OWN WORDS yes, I'll agree that 2 to 3, didnt seem like that much of a drastic change. Im out and about from weeks ago with them. I think we went to the park when he was 5wks old? (with my cousins kids who are helpful (ages 10 and 14) and as of 7-8wks, I was taking them out alone. I guess knowing that the toddlers wanna get out and play, we get moving and go through what has to be done. packing for three, lunches, snacks diapers, one has to go potty, the whole family has to go, etc.
I got my routines in place, getting in and out of the car, making them stay close to me in parking lots, public places, etc. I wont bother doing big shopping excursions with them, I just dont see the point, they dont wanna be there, I dont wanna shop with three little ones. SO all our outings are basically fun stuff for them. its so cool with a car full of little rascals to talk to
no offense moms of 1, but when Im home with my newborn alone, Im like "OMGGG FREEDOMMMMMMMM!!!" I cant remember anything hard about just having one (luckily mine were all great babies)....

Re: So is it true what they say...
I am the first of five and my mother always said that once she had 3 anything after that was a breeze. My SIL on the other hand said that going from 2 to 3 was difficult but I think alot of it has to do with the kids personalities.
