So much confusing baby stuff!
We are not buying anything yet, but took a look in Target today.
How do you know what to buy?

Babies R Us gave us a checkist of all the usual items that parents put on their registry. Also, if you go online to Babies R Us, they'll give you a ton of ideas.

Yes, I agree and also ask friends who are moms.
I took my friend to register with me (DH had no interest  ) and she was very helpful...told me what was useful and what was a waste.

I am going to do the same thing. DH and I went last night to pick out the definite stuff you know you need and I'll go with my friend who is a mom for the rest.

At first I attempted to do it with my mom and I ended up after 2 hours hysterical b/c I had no idea what I was doing. I ended up going back with a girlfriend who has kids and it was so much easier.

It is very confusing especially since there are so many different types of things out there. I've been talking to friends who have babies and they've been helpful and I'll also be buying that book...Baby Bargains...for some additional tips.

It is overwhelming. I read Baby Bargains (but I took with a grain of salt - because they tend to eliminate items based on price), online reviews, and used BRU checklist. I also printed out several of my friends who I trusted registries. I went with my mom the first time - registered for a bunch of stuff and came out with tons more questions. So I went to a lot of my friends and here and other parenting sites and then went back another time to finish or fixed up online some remaining items.

I thought the babies r us checklist was soooooo helpful....
and I also read up on the babies r us website on all different things...that way when I went in I knew which item I wanted...
