So much for not ever getting sick while I'm pregnant..(TMI warning)
Yesterday I was as sick as I've ever been in a long, long time. My stomach was upset - I still have no idea why or what I ate that caused it.
(Here comes the TMI)
My dad and step-mother came over and I thought I was okay, but then suddenly I was running to the bathroom every few minutes. As the day progressed, I felt worse and worse. At one point I told my DH that I'd probably feel better if I threw up (and it should be noted that I haven't done that in at least 7 years and never with my first pregnancy or during this one until now). Later on it happened... and then it happened again while... let's just say I'm happy to have a small bathroom with the toilet and the sink right next to each other.
I called the doctor and the one who was on call said she thought it sounded like a GI problem and I didn't need to go to the hospital unless I wanted to - which I didn't since my hospital is soooo far away and my Dad and step-mother just got over the flu so DD was going to totally wear them out if I left her alone with them, but it was really scary for me. I don't even think I let anyone know how upset I really was....
I haven't been sick at all since yesterday but I've only eaten a dry bagel and drank some seltzer. I feel like you're not supposed to get sick at ALL during pregnancy so now I'm worried and paranoid that something terrible is going to happen.

Scary!
I hope that you get better real soon and its nothing.
awwww, I feel bad that no one knew how sick and upset you were.
I would def try to relax and if you dont feel good and it continues, get to a doctor.

I was so sick my entire PG - and I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say you're glad the sink and the toilet are next to each other.
Sounds like maybe it could be a little stomach virus... hang in there! keep eating bland

Oh Rebecca I am so sorry. When I was pregnant with Athan - around 13 weeks along - I got this awful virus or something. I couldn't stop throwing up for about 4 days straight and couldn't eat a thing. I thought something awful was happening and I felt terrible that I couldn't keep anything down for baby. But sure enough it passed within a few days and everything was OK! And I never got sick again during my pregnancy. Try to keep eating and especially drink lots of fluids - even if you end up throwing it up. I and sending you tons of hugs and you feel better SOON!!!!!!
