Crib Sheets Pak N Play Sheets Onsies Sleep Sacks Bibs Burp Clothes Bath Stuff
Congrats on all of your stuff!! I barely got gifts at my shower and had to buy a lot so at least you have some fun stuff. I didn't get the practical gifts either.
I bought 3 crib sheets originally, but honestly, I think only 2 are necessary. You pull one off, put the new one on, wash the old one, put that one now back on while the other gets washed. But if you like to be super prepared than have 3. But I'd say 2 is perfect.
Pack and Play sheets, the ones I purchased, came in a 2 pack. So once again 2 seemed fine. because one was always clean and then once one was dirty I just switched and washed so the other one would be ready.
Onesies, you can never have enough, but realistically they grow fast and you will be doing laundry at some point... so that's a hard one to estimate for someone else. I say have like 10 and then buy them as you need them?
Sleep Sacks, we honestly only had 1. we didn't really use/like them and they didn't get dirty so 1 was good enough.
Bibs- I feel like we never had enough but also rarely used them. i use toddler bibs now more than ive ever used infant bibs. But I'd say you need 8?
Burp Clothes. I bought the reusable diapers. 2 big packages of it. You need a lot of those!!! Especially if you will be breastfeeding. I also got one set of the a&a... but those are not burp cloths. more like all purpose blankets. The reusable diapers were amazing as burp cloths. I would have even got 3 packs maybe.
Bath Stuff-what do you mean by this? We got 3-4 towels, which is more than enough because realistically i think only 2-3 are necessary. You also need some sort of soap and shampoo. I liked both burts bees and my favorite is aveeno. aveeno baby and aveeno excema lines. I use a soap/shampoo combo so it works for the whole body. You need 1 bathtub. I got a few packs of washcloths. And 1 pack of bath toys. I also got a special cup thing to wash her hair without the water getting in her eyes. Beyond that, i don't think you need anything else.

Awww, what a great problem to have! BTW, you're going the love the keyfit magic! I found BRU pretty good with returns after my shower. As far as clothes, I returned what I could or exchanged for bigger sizes. Basically, if I had a gift receipt or it was obvious what store it was from I exchanged things. In the end, I still had over thirty 0-3 month onesies so I'm glad I did that. I stored away anything that was neutral since I figured I may need it in the future (towells, blankets, sheets). For the other items:
crib sheets- I never went through many so I could have gotten away with 2-3 but I have a lot more.
pnp sheets-2
onesies- a lot! DD was born the end of april and lived in onesies all spring and summer. I would probably say 15 or so, IDK other than that 30 was too many!
sleep sacks: We love them so I'd say 2-3 per size. Still using them at almost 2.
bibs: A lot. Since I liked having ones that matched different outfits I liked having a variety.
burp cloths: I kept a few in every room, the diaper bag, and then however were in the laundry at any given time so I'd say 15-20 of the cheapie white ones.
bath stuff: 4-5 towels and lots of wash cloths. I use the wash cloths all the time for bathing, wiping her nose or face, cleaning her up after meals. I hate using paper towels so I tend to go through a lot of wash cloths even now.

Crib Sheets: 2-3 Pak N Play Sheets: 2-3 Onsies: 10-14 Sleep Sacks: I'd start with one...she might not like it. You don't need more than 2 or 3. Bibs: You can have a lot of these...they get ruined easily (especially if they are a crappy brand) Burp Clothes: I'd have at least 5-7. Bath Stuff: We have too much of this!! YOu don't need more than 3 towels and 3 washclothes!

The onesies are what I needed the most and I used those sleep n play outfits a lot. My DD is going to be 2 and I still don't need to buy baby shampoo because I got so much at my shower! A lot of the extras I kept at my moms so I didn't need to bring it with me when I came to visit her.

Re: So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
I always put my DCs in white onesies under their clothes (Carters and The Children's place make the best ones). So I always like to have a Bunch of white onesies. Especially in the beginning (size 0-3m) as we can go through 3 a day due to leaks & spit up.
I also like to have a ton of burp cloths- the white reusable diapers are the best. I use 5-6 pet day. I always have 1 when feeding the baby, one to cover him during diaper changes (learned the hard way after getting peed on a bunch of times, lol). I put one under his head across the bassinet sheet to protect from spit up...their uses are endless...and I even used them to line the high chair while DD was potty training...so basically these are my must have bAby item.

My DS spit up so much I never had enough burp cloths I between washings but you won't know that until the baby comes. I also changed his clothes like several times a day due to the spit up (like 4 onesies per day). Again you won't know if you'll have this problem until your baby is here. Also we never had enough bibs (esp the teething bibs) because he began to drool a lot and it lasted past age 1. We had to change those several times a day also.

I think you will find different answers from each mom. Are you going to do laundry everyday? If so then you don't need 15 of anything. If not, you may need a few changes. I use 3/4 wash clothes each bath and two towels. But that's just me. Crib sheets I say 2-3. We hardly ever used bibs but she hardly ever spit up (breast feeding). We have a bunch of those diapers and leave them every where around the house. Don't worry about bath toys and bibs for eating right now. You have enough going on. She is 6 months and never has been in her pack and play . We have sheets that were used / given to us so we can use those ifwe end up using the pack and play Good luck and congrats

So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
I would keep 3-4 crib sheets- having an couple of extra comes in handy for spit up especially if you LO has reflux (like My DD) Burp cloths I would keep at least 8-10 we go through a few a day. I use 3-4 wash cloths a day and one towel. I would start with one sleep sac and see if your LO likes it. The first couple of weeks my daughter preferred to be swaddled (for this I love the Aden and Anais swaddle blankets) but in the past couple of days we started using the sleep sac. I prefer the newborn side snap tee shirt to the onesie. I have 8 side snap tees and 5 onsies. I found that keeping clothing simple is important. I cannot imagine complicated outfits on my newborn. I exchanged a lot of clothes for larger sizes because I got a lot of newborn and 3 month sizes. It is hard to know what is going to work best until your baby arrives.

Re: So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
Crib Sheets- I had 4, probably only needed 2. 3 is probably a safe bet.
Pak N Play Sheets- I had 2 but wound up never using the Pack N Play anyway.
Onsies- depends on how often you do laundry and how often your baby needs to be changed. I was lucky to have a baby who never really leaked or made too much of a mess of herself. I'd say 7-10? Sleep n plays are the best type of "outfits" for the first few months. I also liked the gowns in the beginning.
Sleep Sacks- We didn't use a sleep sack for the first few months. I had a ton of the swaddler sleep sacks, and she hated them. She much preferred regular receiving blankets. At around 4 months, we switched to regular sleep sacks- 2 is good.
Bibs- you won't need these for awhile, at least we didn't really use them until she was a few months old and started drooling all the time. Then we needed a ton- a few a day for several months.
Burp Clothes- pick up 2 packages of the white Gerber diapers. I had these in every corner of every room in the house practically!
Bath Stuff- I had 4 towels, prob only need 2. Lots of washcloths- but you'll need more washcloths as they get older and make bigger messes, not right away. Don't go crazy stocking up on soap or lotion bc you don't know how baby's skin will react to certain ones. No need for bath toys for awhile, but I love bath books!

Re: So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
Crib Sheets- I have 2 per baby. So 2. Pak N Play Sheets - we never used the sheets but I'd say 2 Onsies -8 Sleep Sacks-we have 1 per baby but I wish I had an extra for laundry days. So 2. Bibs- we got the green sprouts 10 packs Burp Clothes- 8-10 Bath Stuff- we have 3 washcloths and 2 hooded towels per baby.
Eta- we have 2 changing pad covers and the boppy brand oval pad covers.
We also used the crib sheet protectors until they moved around and they became pointless. We had 2 per baby.

So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
Crib Sheets- I started out with 2 and she didnt go in her crib until 6 months. Once she started sleeping in thr crib i bought more. I now abhave about 6 bought over time.
Pack n play sheets- 2. Never needed more
Changing pad cover- 2 never needed more
Burp cloths- lots!!! Stock up on those. I personally loved aden and anais but they get pricey
Bibs- stiock up! Carters makes the best bibs! Thy have material in between he layers that protect the clothes. Other ones that are just staright cloth the milk soaks through and ruins the clothes anyway. I started using bibs right away
Bath stuff- i had about 4 towels to start and eventually added to that as she got bigger. Wash clothes have about 8-10. bath toys are not needed for awhile.never used lotion on her skin really. Only if she felt particularly dry. I used california baby lotion and body wash. Mustela for shampoo.
Sleep sacks- i got a lot of them and never used them my dd didnt like hem. I would say maybe open 1 but sef not all. From my friennds i gathered they used about 2-4 per size. Swaddles the same. Again my dd didnt like these so i dont know.
Onesies- stock up but you may want to wait until baby is here to do so. This way you know the size. I had to send my mom to pick up newborn size cause my dd was small. I had to return soo much because eveeyone bought us big sizes. My dd was born in summer and lived in onesies. All the crazy frilly outfits are unnecessary and uncomfortable looking to be honest.

I would say a good amount of each of the above due to spit up/poop accidents!! 5 sheets of each sometimes you can change a onesie 2-3 times a day!! I would say at least 3 sleep sacks

Re: So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
Here's what we ended up with for dd...
Crib Sheets 2-3
Pak N Play Sheets 2
Onsies: 10
Sleep Sacks 2-3
Bibs - it looks like I'm the minority here, but I never used them when feeding. I ebf while on maternity leave and when we would give a bottle I just used a burp cloth. I had about 20+ bibs and used maybe 5 for daycare.
Burp Clothes - since I didn't really use bibs, I had a ton of burp cloths...probably a dozen or more. I would keep them all over the house and used them every time I fed
Bath Stuff - I have dd a fresh towel and wash cloth at each bath; she took a bath every other night. So I would say 4-5 a week
Changing pad covers 3-4, we had many poop and pee incidents while changing diapers
I will also add, for dd I lived in an apartment so we only did laundry once a week. If you have a machine at your house you could get away with a few less on things

Re: So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
Congrats! Having a little girl is truly amazing!!! The BRU registry is notorious for that error. Good thing you can return some of your duplicates for some more things for your hotel room- oops, I mean nursery.
Crib Sheets-3 Pak N Play Sheets-2 Onsies-10 newborn, 15 0-3, 10 3-6, 10 6-9. I found that I put them under almost everything and having a variety of colors is good too so things match. Sleep Sacks-2 or 3 Bibs-10 Burp Clothes-12 Bath Stuff-4 towels, 8 wash clothes
This is what I would recommend if you were to wash baby clothes 2-3 times a week. If your DD is a spitter bibs and burp clothes are going to be way important. Also, some kids drool a lot and some not so much, making bibs either super important or not.

Re: So my baby shower was yesterday..and now we hafta book a hotel room for the baby..
Not sure about crib sheets bc my DD is still a newborn and we co-sleep.
She is still in the nb nest in the pack and play, so not sure about the sheets yet.
Onesies-I like white ones under her pajamas and clothes, so we go through two-three a day and I wash the baby's clothes every other day, so eight in each size works well. We have 4 short sleeved and four long sleeved and it works well.
We didn't start out with any sleep sacks, but my DD loves being swaddled, so we bought them after she was born. I would wait and then (if you have a swaddle-baby) when people come and ask what they can bring, you can ask them to pick them up. :D That's what we did.
I put a bib on her sometimes bc of spit up, so maybe like 4-5 of the little ones? A lot of outfits come with them, so you might get some as gifts with little sets.
And the burp cloths that are cute are a waste of time. We use cloth diapers. I like the ones from greenmountaindiapers.com (but I cloth diaper, so I use them for that too)
And bath stuff, I bathe her every other day, so two towels and 4-5 washcloths are plenty.
