So my Dad just signed us up for a 5k

My Dad is a runner and has been running for 40+ years. Even through hip problems, and knee problems..etc he still tries to get out and run/jog a couple of times a week.

I told him I had been doing C25K a couple of months ago and he kept asking me to run with him. Well then I hurt my knee. Now my knee is all better and he just called me up to say he signed us up for a 5K on Thanksgiving. He said he doesn't care if we walk/run/jog. He said he'd even treat me to breakfast afterwards

I'm really nervous and hope I don't go too slow for him.

Im sure he'll pace himself with you, it sounds like he just wants to do it with you. I think thats so sweet!!! Have so much fun! You'll do great.

Have fun!!! I've run a few races with my dad (although not really "with" him as he's super fast). It's alot of fun to run with your dad!!

That's awesome. My mom started running after I did my first 5k and has done a couple of races with me since. She does more of a fast walk but took 6 minutes off her pace time last year! and since she's in her 60s and not many women her age run, she's placed in her division a few times. So she has running trophies and I don't lol.
