So my SD came over for the first time , just to hang out !
Last Monday my DH spoke to her (she had just returned from going to Tennessee) and said " So when do we get to see you again?" ...We had a bunch of clothes that were gifts we had gotten her from last Christmas, birthday etc...that she had never got because she wasn't coming for visits also that we had wanted to give her...
Much to his suprise, she said "What about tommorrow  ??" So my DH took off work that Tuesday and she came over for 6 hours ! This is the most time we had spent with her in one shot in almost 3 years 
Sadly, much of the clothes didn't fit her  , but she did leave with a nice little bag...It was important for her to know that she was always thought of, even when she wasn't physically there ( though we had always sent her cards, we never knew if BM intercepted them)...
My DS adores her ( she taught him hopskotch  ) and she can't get enough of her little sister  ...Here's a few pics ( because I'm a photo-holic )...Hoping we keep this going, so far so good !
Now can someone tell me if this looks like a child who did not want to see her father, SM and sibling(s )for 2+ years ???

and no she doesn't look like a kid who did not want to see you guys. looks like you all never missed a beat which is fantastic.
she looks close to my dd age. so much fun!
She'll be 12 in January

OMG!!!! These are GREAT pictures!!!!! She looks SO happy! This is just the best news! I'm so happy for you and I hope things continue in such a positive direction!! I really think they will!!
Your son and daughter are just gorgeous by the way!!!

That is wonderful! Those pictures are great and SD looks very happy. She looks like she is exactly where she belongs.

DD is 12 now, she'll be 13 in March.
Your family looks so happy all together, we're so happy for you guys!!

I think because I have been in her life since she was only 4 months old, it definately bonded me with her which is a double edge sword in many ways....
Its why the hurt, hurts so much and why the happiness that we have again means so much to me as well I am really just so happy to have her back in our lives again in whatever capacity we can and just pray that we continue on this path...
I truly respect each of you with step-children who have not had the privledge of bonding early on with these children and have taken them into your hearts and homes as if they are your own, as frusturating as it can be sometimes
