So NASTY~ long, but worth it
I teach in a MS that shares the building with a charter school. We are pressed for space and several teachers share rooms or travel from room to room.
Today I was teaching 6th period ELA in a Science teacher's room. He had a prep and decided to stay in the room and do things at his desk....no problem.
UNTIL about 10 minutes into the period and I am doing my read aloud.
As I am reading I begin to hear this high pitchedCLIP CLIP CLIP sound. Its sporadic and at first I ignore it....but it keeeppppsssss going CLIP CLIP.....CLIP CLIPCLIPCLIP, and I think to myself, "Dude, who is clippinig their nails in class?!!"
My kids look at me, I look at them, and then I look over to his desk and he is clipping his dirty, old, yelllow nails onto the floor IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LESSON!! Are you kidding me?
I didn't stop the read aloud cause I had good momentum and I knew if I said anything the kids would start wiggin' with me.
What in the name of lollipops is going on?? How did he think that was "ok"?
