So on those stupid O sticks....
When I get a 2nd line....it has to be as dark or darker than the control line, right?
Yesterday I got a faint line, this morning I got a bit of a darker line but not as dark or darker than the control line. Does that mean it's coming????
When should we BD????

When I used them that's what happened to me. One day I'd get a really faint line, then it'd get darker, and finally by like the 3rd day the line would be darker than the control. You could just start BDing now every other day or something, but once you get the darker than the control line you know you will O in the next 24-36 hours.

I had a faint line, then two days of dark dark lines, then back to faint. We BD'd everyday that week. HTH

I had the same ??'s as you and let me tell you the best thing I ever did was get the digital clearblue easy OPK. It eliminates the guessing game of whether or not the line is darker, lighter, etc. Just smiley face or no smiley. Takes the uncertainty out of it. HTH

this is why I use a combo of both... When I see that the line is starting to get darker-- I use a digital as well, to confirm that I am getting my surge. I don't waste all 7 tests in the packet in one cycle. I have found this really helps me-- and lets me use the cheaper ones to figure out the right time period, and the digitals to confirm LH surge.

you shouldn't be using OPKs in the morning unless you are using the CBEFM. LH is metabolized during the day and the surge is detected in your body in the afternoons - that's why the instructions recommend that you hold your urine for 3-4 hours before using the OPKs.
what i did (on the advice of the ladies here!) was pee right after lunch and then hold it until i got home (around 4:30-5:30).
i would BD tonight to be sure - you don't want to miss your surge!

I read up above that I shouldn't use FMU. I should POAS during the afternoon. When do you do it when you do it more than once a day?
Thanks for the site...I just ordered some of those! Never know. It next cycle comes quick, I rather have some extra than none at all.

I do FMU and then when I get home from work...
Or, I'll do afternoon POAS session occasionally if I am home.
It is just what works for me-- I drink too much water during the day and I am not willing to give that up... Since I got the digitals, I have been able to detect my surge.

I've had pretty good luck with FMU, although this morning I forgot, so I might move to after work.
I'm also trying the digital CBE sticks for the 1st time, and I must say I am a fan. I took the test apart after I got my result, and saw the lines, and probably would've confused it with LH surge since it was ALMOST as dark, but the lack of the took the guessing out for me.
