So poor little Shelby is sick!!
So I took her to the vet Tuesday. She met Dr. Brian at Jefferson Animal Hospital (who I'd like to add is a GREAT doctor!!!) and unfortunately, Shelby girl is sick!
DH and I noticed she was coughing pretty frequently which prompted the vet visit (not to mention we just wanted to get her checked out) and I'm glad we took her. She has kennel cough with the early onset of pneumonia!! 
My poor little booble  but honestly, besides the coughing (and a little gurgling when she breathes) you'd never know she's sick! She's still running around like a crazy pup!
Anyway, she's on the meds which seem to be helping and hopefully, she'll be feeling better shortly.
Has anyone experienced pneumonia with a dog? How long does it last?
The doc wants us to keep her on the meds until she goes a week w/o coughing.
What have your experiences been like?

so sorry! Piper just got his Bordatella vaccination for kennel cough.
I hope he feels better!

Ollie had kennel cough when I got her. It sounded terrible. The vet put her on zithromax and we gave her that twice a day for a week and she's all cleared up now. Shelby will be fine

I'm sorry to hear that! I think most shelter dogs get kennel cough. Annie was pretty sick when we got her.
It took her a few weeks to get over it.
I don't know about pnemonia though.
Hope she feels better soon!

Brody had kennel cough after leaving the damn obedience school but it never progressed to pneumonia. He was fine in a couple of days. The lil girl will be ok!! She is awesome!

OH NO!! I LOVE Dr. Brian (and Dr. Jeff!!!) They're so great!
My sister's dog that she adopted from North Shore Animal League had pneumonia, I think he might have been on meds for almost 3 weeks, but he did fine.
Shelby is ADORABLE! Best of luck with her!!
