So stressed...long...need advice

I am 11 weeks and 2 days, I have been feeling great. So excited about Nuchal Translucency on Valentine's day to see Peanut again.

I got a call this morning that my Dad was brought to the hospital. He has been diagnosed with a heart arrythmia and is in stable condition but undergoing tests. He is in the ER until a room opens. I'm still at work, if he gets into a room today I'll probably leave to go see him.

About an hour or so after I found out, and recomposed myself (tried very hard not to cry while at work), I started getting pretty intense cramps. I haven't had cramps for over 2 weeks. No bleeding or spotting. Should I call doc? I know that without bleeding it's ok but I'm worried that this stress is taking more of a toll on my body than I realize. What should I do?

It takes me 1 1/2 hours to get home to Lindenhurst and then it's a little under an hour to drive up to Glen Cove Hospital. I really want to see my Dad but I'm so afraid of the stress I'm putting on my body and on my baby. I think the cramps are a sign to slow it down.

Sorry about your dadChat Icon Chat Icon Hang in thereChat Icon Chat Icon

the cramps could just be plain ole ligament cramps-growing pains, the baby grows through a growth spurt around that time.

Drink lots of water just to be sure and go see your dadChat Icon

The cramps could be very normal but I would call the doc so you don't worry.Chat Icon
