So this is why I hate my new job....UPDATE
My boss wrote a terrible motion before i started here. Because it was written so poorly, it was denied. I am working to reargue it to get the judge to change his mind.
Meanwhile we got a trial date for October in August. I wrote a memo that day and put it in my boss' mailbox.
Well this weekend he and i are e-mailing on this case and he asks me, "why is this the first time I am hearing about this trial date?" Now even though I took the week off, I need to get some papers out NOW and it can't wait the week.
First, it was in the memo dated 8/6 you Should have gotten.
Second, it was in my motion papers that you reviewed twice.
SO at 8:30, when my DH comes home I head out to the office. I can't go during the day because I have no one to watch DD, hence I took the time off.
SO I am working here, and I get this e-mail from my boss "By the way, I found your memo advising me of the trial date."
No, sorry for not discussing this sooner. No, sorry for making you come into the office at night when you are supposed to be off on vacation.
Just, by the way. No, I was the one who f*cked up so sorry you have to come in on your week off.
ETA: Well I just e-mailed him that I am at the office (at 9:30pm) if he wants to discuss this further. Hopefully he will realize how shittty this is to me. But I somehow doubt that.
UPDATE: So I get a call from the boss today. No apology. No thank you. He did admit that he had the memo all along, but missed the trial date. He asked if I got the stuff done (uh- my 3 e-mails between 9 and 10 last night said they did) and when I told him I did, he said "that's great". No thanks for going above and beyond. No thanks for saving my azzz. But at least I know that I did everything right.

Oh God, I'm so sorry you have to put up with this crap! Unfortunately, this is just par for the course in litigation, and with partners who have big egos and a total inability to take responsibility for themselves.
Rise above it, like you always do - know that you did everything right, and you covered everything.
And if nothing else, remember to save ALL your emails for review time
