So tomorrow is our 20 week/anatomy scan/growth sono. How long is it?
I can't wait to see the bean! 
What do they do at this appointment?

not sure if they are all the same, but i went to nassau rad and first a tech scans and takes some initial measurements (probably about 10 minutes), then a doctor comes in a zones in on every little detail (probably at least 30 minutes)...it was amazing! are you going to find out the sex?

I just had mine tonight - it was a loooooong ultrasound, which was just fine with me. We met with the OB very briefly afterward and he listened to the baby's HB. No bloodwork! We were there for a total of 1.5 hours.

It's exciting!!!!!!!!!!
My appointment was long..........I think about an hour...they check EVERYTHING in great detail, like 3 times over-I have to warn you, it gets a little nerve wracking. But its amazing!
Good Luck!!!!! And make sure you tell them when they start if you want to know the gender or not.

My appointment lasted about 45 minutes or so. The tech did the bulk of the scan, then a doctor came in for about 10 minutes. :)

The length of the ultrasound will also depend on how cooperative your baby is. My DS was not in a good position for some of the exam and I kept have to reposition. When that didn't work they had me drink OJ (for the sugar).
DS still wouldn't budge and I had to come back for a second day to complete the exam.

Mine was super long I think about 2 hrs. We had a tech, a fellow, and then the attending doctor come in at some point. The baby wasn't in the right position, the fellow couldn't find something, etc. It took about 45 minutes for them to establish that I had two umbilical arteries. It was so nice to see the baby for so long!!

It really depends on how cooperative the baby is. Mine took around 20-30 min. My  was cooperative and I think it went fairly quick.
