So upset,...(very long, sorry)
so, ive been in the hospital since wednesday nite..
ive had quiet a few surgeries in the last 9 years, and have developed some major problems due to a few hernias...the first was an issue with an obstruction in my small bowel 3 years ago,,,i almost was septic, and poisoned myself and couldve ended up dead...definately serious...
since then, ive had no real other big issues, and thought id be in the clear...apparently not..
i was in so much pain wed afternoon violently throwing up and um goin to the bathroom for 3 hours, i couldnt take it anymore, rushed to the ER..and was sent right up to L&D...
TURNS OUT, they think i have another obstruction, BUT cannot tell for sure without an xray, and cat scan..and then if i was still acute, theyd have to open me up, (yes, my stomach, nice and close to my LO) put me under regular anesthesia, and repair it...obviously wed and thursday i was a mess, all of those things were a HUGE risk to the baby...but, they were trying to convince me that the benefit outweighed the risk and that i wasnt ok, she wouldnt be ok either...
they LIED to me, and told me if i took the xray theyd sheild my lower abdomen, i go for the xray, and not only is it impossible to sheild me there since they need to see it... the tech was so uncomfortable shooting it, she told me, "look, im not supposed to voice my opinion, but are you SURE you wanna do this?"...with that, i refused the xray...i go back upstairs and the doctor says since i am no longer acute he is comfortable sending me home, and following me closely, hernia pain tends to come and go, and as long as im very careful, he will dc me..
THEN i get my blood work back and its a messssssssssss
high white blood cell, off the charts low anemia, it was DAYS of one doctor disagreeing with the next about the safety of me and my unborn baby..i have such a migrane from being overwhelmed, upset and confused..
i finally get dishcarged and now will be at the doctor ONCE A WEEK, for the rest of the time (which is ok, and beats bed rest im sure) and then i will have to get injections 2-3 times a week for my iron..unreal..
i thought my car accident in may with a broken collar bone would be all the aggravation id endure, but i guess not lol
to top it off, my lil  is seen on the sonogram last nite, holding her hand over her head, AS IF SHES STRESSED OUT lolllllll

oh, so sorry...I'm glad you didn't have to have surgery and I'm praying from here on things get better

thanks, ya know what upset me the most is that i had to choose between harming this baby, and possibly harming myself, (which would in turn harm my DS) my family was actually VERY upset with me, and thought i was being very selfish because this baby isnt even here yet, and i should be worried about my lil boy, and him having a mommy...
i feel her lil legs kicking me, and i knwo there HAS to be a way to protect them both...
if she wouldve been born with problems because of choices I made, i could never live with it..
i hope ive made the right decisions...

What an ordeal!! I cannot even imagine what you are going thru. I pray that the rest of your pregnancy is a lot more manageable.

Its sounds like you thought this through very thoroughly and made the best informed decision you could. There is nothing wrong with trying to do what is best for BOTH your children. Your baby girl will be here in 2 short month, just because she hasn't made her outside appearance, doesn't mean she isn't significant. You are a wonderful woman and a great mom.

Im an xray tech and im glad you had a tech who voiced their opinion instead of just shooting the xray.

thank you so much, i felt the same way...and i hope theres more of them out there that would do that...the poor girls in the xray dept felt so bad telling me the truth, but they were really honest with me, and it was obvious that it upset them as well to have to do it..
and thank you everyone for your well wishes :)
