So we went to the new Nick Jr movie Sat...

...and we were the only ones there in the theater!!! I had gone to the National Amuesements website to see what the new movie was going to be for August since Saturday morning was looking like a rain out. They have a new program on Thurs and Sat mornings that show Nick Jr shows at 10am for $6. Then there's story time afterwards and an activity book. Plus, it's at other theaters, not just Island 16. So we go to the one at Airport Plaza in Famringdale, there were only 3 cars in the parking lot. I walk up to the door thinking it's gonna be closed, but it's not. I ask for the Nick Jr. movie and the girl behind the counter has to call the manager over cause she doesn't know how to input it--that was my first clue. We get in the theater, all by ourselves. Some young guy comes in in a suit with a clipboard and is like, "Ummm, I'm supposed to give this speech about this being our new program, but since you're the only one here, I'll just say thanks and I'll be reading stories after the movie if you want to stay." Poor guy. I didn't make him read to us after it was over. It was basically like watching an hour of Noggin. There were 2 Dora episodes, a Backyardigans song, Chickypoo and Fluff skit and a David Weinstein song (Taxi). DS loved it, and of course, didn't make a peep the whole time since we were the only people in there.
