So what are everybody's hobbies ????
Figured it would be a good way to get off the typical topics for today.
Recently I have gotten into finance, making money, maximizing individual wealth.
I find myself watching more of those "money" shows on the news channels. I read a lot of financial blogs and websites. I am not really into stocks, more into other safer ways of building wealth.
In a tough economy I think it's even more important to make sure you are not only spending your money wisely, but you are also making your money work for you. One bad financial move can cripple you for years.
I am also into the RE market. If I had more capital to blow, i'd be buying a second investment house somewhere.
Just not there... yet. I only wished I knew 10 years ago what I know now.

I wish I had your knowledge and shared your interests, I am so clueless about finance, RE, etc..I always look for your posts to try to get answers to my questions! LOL
My hobbies are pretty simple, crocheting, raising my dog, birding. I used to collct Beanie Babies, had 1000s, but sold em on ebay b4 my wedding! Helped pay for alot of it!

as many know, i'm an avid knitter
i also crochet, sew, paint, decoupage, and some paper crafts.
also like to know a little about money... needed to learn fast when the soon-to-be-ex broke us financially.

I enjoy crocheting, I am not that great but I do enjoy it. I am also like to paint & decorate picture frames, painting in general, making chocolate, scrapbooking and making cards. DH jokes that I am turning into Martha Stewart.

I love to cook and bake; i find it really stress relieving too. DS loves to help me now too & he's becoming quite the little chef...he can list all the ingredients in zucchini bread almost perfectly!

I really have to get more into finance...I want to buythat book Total Money Makeover..
but I love to cook and bake...
to read, getting lost in a book for the day is one of my favorite things..I cant' wait for wood-stove weather so I can sit in front of it with my books.
scrapbooking, card making, needle point & cross stitch.
and of course..home renovation.

serious gourmet cooking 
I'm a biochemist by training, so mixing stuff up and being creative is a significant part of my life.
I like to pick a cuisine (ex. iranian, indian, ethiopean, french, jamaican) and focus on learning their central recipes and cooking everything from scratch like a native... I then infuse those cooking techniques and seasonsing combos into my own recipes...

I love to cook & bake. I usually spend Sundays in the winter cooking, & making up new dishes. I am hoping to one day turn it into more then just a hobbie.
I also read alot & love going for long walks.

-baking pies!
-doing outdoors stuff - taking char to the park, going for walks, hiking, kayaking, etc.
-i used to love ceramics and painting but i don't really have the tools for that anymore.
-baking and cooking in general.
-decorating!

*Photography.
*Teaching myself photoshop.
*Driving my kids to soccer practice, karate & racist, radical churches promoting terrorism.
*Reading fiction (not just the political propoganda stuff on the internet...I prefer historical fiction...um, not the stuff on the internet...books, historical fiction books but not by any Fox news correspondent. Phillippa Gregory, as an example)
