So what IS considered "close contact"?
Just a little confused as standing next to someone, not 6 feet apart, kissing them is NOT getting in close contact anymore? I guess just for us pee-ons

Re: So what IS considered "close contact"?
The article says within 6ft for less than 15 minutes but all of the rules have changed.
My one son has Covid - the rest of us can go about our lives (including our unvaccinated 12 year old). We should wear masks - which getting a 12 year old to do properly has been a struggle...
ETA - my kid is just tired, he ran a fever at one point the other night but that's it. The kid next to him was out all week and he must've just gotten his positive on Weds night as he joined online school today (not sure why he couldn't join yesterday since my kid was in there anyway).

Re: So what IS considered "close contact"?
Didn't he just have Covid? At this point, I can't believe people really care. A contact tracer called me yesterday asking for my DH, I said wrong # and hung up. Technically it was the wrong cell phone #.

Nope, he hasn't gotten it yet but everyone around him is apparently but he hasn't had any close contact with them.
Yup, I would hang up too. I am SO over all of this crap but just found this funny as Jen P literally said he did not have close contact according to the CDC. Wonder why she is quitting. She is probably tired of the crap that comes out of her own mouth

‘Their definition of it is 15 minutes of contact within a set period of time, within six feet,’ Jen Psaki claimed.

You also have to keep in mind that many of these politicians test regularly - even with no symptoms - so she could be positive but 100% fine.

Yup... It's all insanity.
Thankfully it's only 5 day isolation now for the sick person because we'd all be going crazy here if it was still 10.

Then why did I spend two years covering my face with a rag for only 15 seconds while I walked from the front door of a restaurant to my table?

So what IS considered
I am viewing it all as a bad dream. None of it made sense. It never will. Covid rules have disappeared it seems. I keep waiting for that light from Men in Black to blink so the government can just erase all our minds.

Re: So what IS considered "close contact"?
Lol - the new rules seem to be:
If you are sick stay home If you have covid, isolate for 5 days and mask for 5 days after that
Other than that - it's all recommendations.
I've gotten so many texts today about exposures at the middle school and how they are nervous. I"m like well, my middle schooler is exposed at home and still allowed to school so it is what it is.

Because Simon said...put your mask on. Now Simon said...take it off! Now put it on!
Ah, ah, ah I didn't say Simon says!
I'll tell you this...I'll never wear one again. They try to impose that bullshitt gain I'm following it even less than last time. It's literal insanity

Don’t have to wear one for another 2 weeks for a doctors appointment for my youngest. It is nice not to have to remember to bring one when I go out.

Yes there's talk of finally dropping that too. Hopefully. In the meantime that's where the compliance "masks " come in handy. That and a bag of M&Ms and a bottle of water.

Re: So what IS considered "close contact"?
I just got another call for the second weekend in a row that my son had close contact in his 8th grade class. It’s spreading like wild fire at the school now. I’m sending his butt to school like I did last week. See if they say anything to me.
He had Covid end of December, so I’m lying and saying he got it in January because it’s stupid that he is suppose to quarantine just because he isn’t vaccinated. EVEN though everyone who has gotten Covid in his school are all vaccinated. Make it make sense!!

That is crazy they are still calling you! And yes, since he had Covid, likely Omicron, it's silly that he will have to quarantine again.

I cannot believe they are still contact tracing in your school. Do they plan to do that forever?
