So what started out as a rash

Was a yeast infection for the past month on my c/s area Chat Icon Who even knew you could get one there! My OB actually gave me a hug and told us it was one of the worst he's ever seen. So 2 steroid treatments are helping this thing go away finally!!!

Thank you everyone who tried to help me get this under control Chat Icon

Re: So what started out as a rash

My SIL had that last year after delivering her son & my other SIL had it years after her C-section.

Re: So what started out as a rash

They both said it was from not letting the skin dry completely after showering plus the fact that they had a little "extra" skin there that caused moisture to develop. I was told by my doctor after the c-section (since I too have "extra" skin) to physically lift up the skin & use a blow dryer after showering to make sure the area is dry & to only wear cotton undies. I only did the blow dryer a few times in the very beginning, but I haven't had any problems so far (it's been 4 months)
