So yesterday I was in Janie and Jack
and when I got to the register the sales associate asked me how old Luka was and I told her 5.5 months old. Then her response was "wow, he is a big boy how much does he weigh" so I tell her probably around 17lbs not really sure. So she tells me that her daughter is 7.5 months old and 16lbs. So I said she must of been tiny when she was born and she said yes, 5.5lbs and I tell her that Luka was 8lbs when he was born, then she says " well babies seem to born so much larger these days" I must of missed the question when I was in labor that I could choose my babies weight! I thought that was so weird and said Thank You and left.

So rude....just because you work in a childrens store doesnt give you the right to know and comment on other childrens stats.....I think they should just coo and aww and unless they can say "how cute, the end" just zip it!!
I think some childrens stores are worse than others for ex my local baby gap couldnt care less about my DD but at the childrens place they nearly jump into the stroller.

Re: So yesterday I was in Janie and Jack
I dont know how she said her comments to you, but I dont think she ment it in a mean way, alot of babies these days are being born larger, most of my girlfriends babies and family members who had kids there babies weighed over 8 lbs, and it was there first.
ETA: I'd rather walk into a friendly store and have people comment on how good my DD is, then have them say nothing at all, and seem moody.
