so yesterday was my demo lesson...

I feel like if I hadn't been pregnant I nailed it and would have had an awesome shot...(and anyone who knows me knows I am not really a "bragger" or self gloater so my best friend was like "wow, good, I neevr heard you say anything like that!") - the funny part was that I specifically asked the day before if I need to modify or differentiate any of my lesson for children with special needs in the class...and was told, "no, not at all" - so I get there and am setting up and all and the teacher of the class form summer school comes over, says hi and then whispers "You know this is a special ed class, right?" and I nearly died....(um, no...they told me it was a reg ed class...) - but all in al my lesson went great - it was really short (25 min) b/c it was supposed to be but the kids couldn't have been better - they had all the answers I was looking for, were on their best behavior (ok, so that was more b/c of all the people watching the back, not my "skills! ) and seemed to really get it.....so I am happy....

ironicaly, the a.p. at the school for the summer just so happened to be my dh's boss' son....he called dh to say this morning that he heard I did great and to congratulate him on our baby - and that even though I am pg they might still find a way since they liked me still- and that I will prob get another call back still...so i try to remain optimistic but i mean - hello? at 8+ mos pregnant, my chances are slim they will hire me! - plus I feel like ugh, I can't even get my hopes up right now anyway!
