Social Work
I have just graduted in May with an BSW degree (Bachelor of Social Work). I will be going for my MSW in January. However, I have applied for countless positions and NOT one for call back. I want to work in case management, and with the elderly. I have had over two years of field work experience. I have over 10 years of working experience and I just don't get it!!
Its beyond frustating to send your resume out 15 times a week, and still havent received a response.
Any advice or recommendations would be helpful.
I have my resume on careerbuilder.com, and monster.com. I search on craigslist, indeed.com, organization websites, newspaper, hospital websites, etc.
vent over, just frustated!

Re: Social Work
I wish I had some advice, but I have been working in the field since 1998 and have my Master's degree as well, and do not get responses either when I send out resumes.
I think the field unfortunately is extremely flooded these days and I still feel 1000% getting a job is because you know someone.
Is there someone at your school you can speak to?
Former classmates?

I've known quite a few people who have gone this route, only to get laid off in a year.
It's really not funny, but that makes me nervous, personally.
Also, do you need to take a test for some of these positions, and then be put on a list? I've looked into some stuff and saw that as requirement to even get an interview.
