So...Dr. Brenner called me today...
...at work. He told me he recieved karyotyping bloodwork and I have balanced reciprocal translocation, something having to do with my chromosomes 1-10.
He said that is most definitely the problem causing recurrent m/c's. I asked him if I should still have my HSG and she said I could probably hold off, but since I have not been able to get pg in over a year I should have it just to take a looksee. So I am having it Monday.
He said he wants me to go to a genetic counselor and he gave me a number for one, and I have to call back his office and make an appointment with him.
He told me that IVF is the best way for me to go since everything can be pre-tested. He told me he thinks I can have a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby which made me cry. ! I gave him my condolences and that is it so far.

Glad to hear that you got some answers.  I met w/ Dr. K today and asked how Dr. B was doing and he said he came back into the office today and scheduled a paperwork/phone call day.

I believe so, he said they would do testing on the embryo. He sounded very positive and I felt pretty good after we hung up, but now I am so nervous all over again! I have to make an appt. w/ the genetic counselor tomorrow.

Well it's good to know Dr. B is back in the office and at least you have some answers about your m/c's and a direction to follow for the future.

I made the appt. with the genetics counselor for Thursday the 12th. Thanks, Lauren, for all of the info, and I will keep everyone posted. Just had a bad, depressed day yesterday trying to absorb all of this, but gotta press on. I just wish I knew this a few years ago and not when I am 41.

PGD has really good results! At least you now know why you are having the miscarriages!
Cornell has lead the way with research in the area of PGD! A lot of thier research is available in articles on line!

Now you can REALLY move forward.. It has to be a relief for you.. I did PGD with my first IVF. Its amazing and comforting to know that your embryo is okay when they put it back in.. Keep us posted on the counselor.. God bless may you have this little baby you so long for.

I am scared to death now to even BD because I am afraid I will get PG and the baby not be healthy. What a vicious cycle!!!! First I am trying with all my might to get pg now I am afraid to!

Thanks everyone, I am starting to feel better and I just keep remembering Dr. Brenner saying I CAN have a healthy baby!! Now someone come hold my hand for the HSG on Monday!!!
