Soft serve ice cream or frozen yogurt a no-no?
please tell me its okay to have a shake from carvel. i have been craving shakes the last few weeks and i have been drinkingone every few day. now my dh tells me i shouldn't have it made with soft serve ice cream or frozen yogurt. why?????

I've heard the same thing...not sure why though. I thought it had something to do with how clean those machines are??? I have been avoiding but would love for someone to tell me its ok to eat cause I am definately craving soft serve!!!!

Gosh I hope thats not true 'cause I've had a few Carvel shakes throughout my pregnancy.
I've never read that anywhere. Weird!

Never hear that and i told my doctor last time that i felt like i have been living at TCBY and she never said any thing to me about it being bad.

I've never heard that! My goodness, the list of things we "shouldn't" eat is certainly growing. It's getting ridiculous. Until I hear a really good reason not to, I'm going to continue eating soft serve ice cream.

No way! The temperature inside that machine is so cold that it kills any bacteria. I had a shake EVERY DAY with my forst pregnancy from Carvel.

Oops. Just realized that while I have been avoiding soft serve ice cream I've had plenty of McDonalds milk shakes that come out of the same machines. Hmmmm.....maybe I'll go to carvel today
