Soft soled patent leather dress shoes..
My granddaughter just started walking and she just got her first pair of everyday shoes. I had picked up patent leather shoes in Target but they have a hard sole. I don't know if this would be good for her to walk in since she's just starting? We got her a soft soled Stride Rite shoes. Some of the other shoes were just too heavy for her. Does anyone sell a soft soled patent leather dress shoe? Or should we let her walk around the house with the ones from Target and let her get used to them? She'll only be wearing them a handful of times. Her b'day party next Sat. then Thanksgiving, Xmas and thru New Years. I don't know where to look. I checked Payless but they didn't have any with soft soles in her size. She's a 4 1/2 W.

Re: Soft soled patent leather dress shoes..
I was going to say Payless but you mentioned you were there already. I was at the one in Tanger Outlets in riverhead and saw really soft black patent. The Circo (target brand) maryjane style shoes are pretty flexible and velcro, I think they are called "Dawna" I got the pink ones for my DD. I think by the time Christmas comes she is gonna be a pro at walking.. kids learn REAL FAST.

Re: Soft soled patent leather dress shoes..
Stride Rite has them - but not sure if they have them that small...I think they do though b/c I am pretty sure that is where I got DD's last year. If not, I don't think wearing them a few times only will hurt. When DD started walking her feet were so tiny it was hard to find shoes that weren't like you describe - for parties and holidays she wore them and is fine now... I just wouldn't have those as your every days...
