so....I have REALLY black natural colored hair....can i get highlights?
or should I leave it alone?
I don't want to dye the whole thing but wanted to know if i can get highlights?
I don't like funky so i would never get blue or fierce red

when the sun shines on your hair, do you see any other colors in it?
you could probably get some kind of purple color...

I just looked at your wedding pics & your hair is gorgeous! I say leave it the way it is. If you want a change, maybe cut it differently? I have black hair also & people always tell me how exotic it is. I have never dyed my hair & it has minimal split ends & is healthy. Until I start seeing grey strands, I plan on leaving it alone. My mother is allergic to the chemical in dyes so she goes to maximus & gets vegetable dying, which is no chemicals. So they say.

If you get any color, I would def do something in the burgundy/purple family. Something subtle.
I wouldn't do any type of blonde on black hair if thats what you wanted to know.
I love black hair....it always looks soooo shiny!

I also have very, very black(natural) hair.
I had highlights when I was 19 or 20 in Burgundy color. It looked great, but I would never do it again. I love my hair now, it's so dark and shiny and different (since most WOMEN have highlights or color their hair lighter shade)
Not planning on putting any color in my hair unless I start getting gray
So I guess my answer is:
I wouldn't touch it .

Yes, you could get dark brown/medium brown highlights that would look really nice - just stay within 2 shades of your current color. I would stay away from any red or other colors. I forget where you live, but when I was living/working in the city I got it done at Louis Licari for years. It cost just as much as I pay now. My colorist was Yolanda and I loved her!

Try a deep caramel brown, it would be a nice contrast.
