I've stayed at the Ocean Beach a few times and its a good place for the typical Montaul feel. Sole East is cool but personally I would not stay there because its not on the beach and I go to Montauk for the beach.

Which Sole East? The one that's across the street from the beach, or the one thats nestled up by the lake? They own 2 different properties.
It depends what you're looking for. I like Ocean Beach because even if it rains, you can use the indoor pool.
But I think the Sole East (by the lake) is very hip and sleek looking. The Sole East thats across the street from Ocean Beach is a good option if it's a lot cheaper than Ocean Beach.
...but if it isn't that big of a price difference I'd opt for Ocean Beach. Ocean front AND an indoor pool outweigh what Sole East (either location) have to offer.
