SOME DUST NEEDED - UPDATE
I have an appt. this morn. w/ Dr. Rosenfeld @ NSUH to see if the clomid is working this time.
The metformin worked to clean the cysts off my ovaries now hopefully it made the clomid more effective.
Here's to hoping
UPDATE: well like I thought the clomid didnt work. I have a ton of eggs but nothing mature and Dr. Rosenfeld is going to let it go one more week to see if anything develops, it wont i know my body by now and I know I am a poor responder to clomid.
So he said if nothing develops by next week we will move onto injectables. I was very frustrated at the appt. since I told him the clomid wasn't going to work and wanted to move right onto injectables but i'm trying to get positive again.
Thanks for all the dust and prayers girls.
-Jess

Chin up! You still have a week for some progress, and if not, you have Plan B...lots of prayers your way, Jess! If you go the injectible route, you'll see a nice response, no doubt!!

Thanks im trying to get back into my positive mind frame its just so frustrating when I told him from the beginning the clomid wasnt going to work. He said he has no doubt I will respond to the injectables it just would have been nice for him to work with me a little more in the beginning knowing that this was the route we were going to need to go down eventually. I really have to get myself in the mindframe that slow and steady wins the race and then I think it would be a little easier to deal with.

Re: SOME DUST NEEDED - UPDATE
I know exactly how you feel. I had the same exact issue with him - he wanted to try 3 or 4 IUIs before moving to IVF. I knew that IUI would NOT help our male factor issues. Ultimately though, after one failed IUI, he said I could move to IVF. I think after seeing my husbands numbers he knew my chances with IUI were slim.
In hindsight, he was right to try IUI because it is so much less invasive than IVF and so much less expensive (only meds and monitoring were covered for my IVF, everything else was OOP). I just don't think I would have had the stamina to go thru 3 or 4 failed IUIs. I think he is trying to get the best result with as little strain to your body as possible, but sometimes I feel like we can just FEEL things and we have a little more inside information as to the way our bodies are working.
I did get pregnant after my first IVF though - so don't worry, hang in there, it will happen. They have a really high success rate and they are really good at what they do.
