I usually boil them and cut them up into pieces, except for peas, which they eat whole. I'll put some butter on them or mix them into pasta or quinoa with some cheese, which they absolutely love.

I usually steam them a little and cut up into small pieces. Chloe likes them plain but I'll "spice it up" for her sometimes too.
She loves ditalini pasta with pea pesto (I put 1 bag of thawed frozen peas and a big bunch of basil in the food processor, drizzle in olive oil and then mix in a little gratedparmesan cheese. It makes a lot of pesto so I can freeze some too. I mix the pasta with the pesto and add extra peas.
Im going to try the vegetarian chili recipe on wholesomebabyfood.com sometime this week. There are a lot of great finger food recipes on there as well.

I do what the others do but also serve them thick purees-its messy but they love it-I make them mashed potatoes, butternut squash etc. And as AP said-any sort of pesto works well

At this age I steamed them and cut them into small pieces, but he had trouble with chunks of food, even very soft food. So I usually wound up mashing them with a fork after letting him try them. Or putting them in the food processor and pureeing.
The process isn't very different at 2 years . He just will not eat non-pureed veggies, and I like him to eat veggies, so it's this or nothing. Though he gets cooked chunks to try initially.
