Some TTC issues I'm curious about
I have tons of questions about TTC... now that I'm on this site, I'm so glad I can ask all you ladies for your opinions!
1. If you are TTC, is there any type of exercising that you should NOT be doing? (I know that when you're pregnant they say you're not supposed to do abs, so is it the same for TTC? What about pilates or aerobics?)
2. Are you already avoiding all the no-no's of pregnancy (ie: alcohol, certain foods, etc) while you are TTC? What about if you get your period... do you just indulge when you know you're not possibly pregnant?
3. Do you drink caffeine? I cut back A LOT since starting TTC, but is any amount acceptable?
Ok, I'll stick with those three questions for now... but I'm warning you all, there will probably be more to come!! Thanks in advance to all of you!!

Welcome to the board and may your stay be a short one. OK, to answer your question... 1. As far as I know you can do any excersise you want when you are TTC. I should actually be doing more of this. 2. I am avoiding alcohol and caffeine, and I am trying to eat healthier. I have changed my diet quite a bit now that we are TTC. When I get my period, yes, I do indulge but not to any extreme. 3. They do tell you that you should limit your intake of caffeine. Good luck and baby dust!

I'm new to TTC also and still have questions myself. I'll answer as best as I can---
1. I know that there are certain yoga poses that you shouldn't do if your PG. But I don't think it relates to TTC. From what I read, excercise is good.
2. I am working on improving my diet. I printed off the new nutritional guidelines and I am working on learning to follow them--eating whole grains, getting enough fruits and vegies, etc... I also take a multi vitamin with Folic Acid in it per my doctor's instructions pre-TTC. I sometimes drink alcohol, but it's only once a week tops.
3. I am working on lowering my caffeine intake. However, some days I am better than others. I have been trying to drink decaf tea sometimes. I need to find out which herbal teas are ok. (I drink both tea and coffee- but I hate decaf coffee.)

I'm pretty much doing everything as normal except I now take pre-natal vitamins...

I did everything normally. I took Centrum vitamins and Folic Acid -- that is the most important thing.
Other than taking those two vitamins, I did everything the same and got my BFP the first month trying.
