I've been googling this for months and tried different ideas...

yes, yes, i know REAL greek dressing is just lemon juice and olive oil or whatever, but i want the stuff that a restaurant makes!! lol

so, i know it consists of special herbs or whatever, but what are they??

i'm going nuts.

i've used mustard seed, basil, a touch of brown sugar, lemon juice, dijon mustard, dill....but something is missing!!!!!

Always oregano. You can buy "Greek Seasoning" in the spice aisle. It has oregano and I think some dried mint and other stuff. I use that sometimes with lemon, a little feta, some olive oil and maybe a little chunk of cucumber thrown into the mini prep. Plus vinegar - I'm not always a purist!Chat Icon

I always see that greek or mediterranian (sp) spice, and always wondered if that would make a big difference. Do you find it does the trick?

I agree with AP, definitely oregano, lemon juice, olive oil, feta cheese, salt and pepper. Typically, greek dressing is very basic!

Or, you could always go the lazy route and get Ken's like I do Chat Icon
